Why DPS?
Dynamic Pendulum System (DPS) is a tungsten pendulum-oscillation GTAW automatic process for narrow-groove welding developed by AWT.
DPS system allows the tungsten to swing in a pendulum motion at a radius of less than 10mm, weld in a U-shaped narrow groove with a bevel angle of 4° to 8° that has an open width less than 15 mm. When the tungsten pendulum swings to the sidewall of the groove, the angle between the tungsten and the beveled sidewall can be as big as 30° to 40°, and at this position, the central arc column with the highest energy density faces toward the sidewall. This leads to better molten puddle spreading and results in one layer formed by a single weld bead with an ideal curved and concave surface and full sidewall fusion. In addition, our specially designed composite shield gas unit is attached to an automated welding torch to achieve the best puddle protection.
- Evenly spreads the molten weld puddle across the joint
- Achieves ideal sidewall fusion
- Beeter puddle protection
